Handcrafted Robe from Vintage Kimono - "Bingata"-Dyed D015

A one-of-a-kind robe handcrafted from a vintage kimono.  
Carefully remade by skilled kimono artisans using traditional techniques.  
A piece that blends rich Japanese heritage with modern, easy-to-wear elegance.

This robe is crafted from a “Houmongi” kimono — a semi-formal style traditionally worn for celebrations and special occasions.  
Houmongi are known for their refined patterns and graceful drape, giving this piece an elegant and dignified presence.

The base kimono features “Bingata,” a traditional Okinawan dyeing technique with over 500 years of history.  
Bingata is celebrated for its vivid colors, intricate hand-cut stenciled patterns, and nature-inspired motifs such as flowers, birds, and ocean waves.  
Each design is created by applying natural pigments in layered steps, resulting in a vibrant and unmistakably expressive textile.

Because this robe is made from a vintage kimono, the fabric, colors, and patterns are entirely unique — there is no second piece like it in the world.

Normal vintage condition with minor signs of age such as slight fading or gentle wear.
