Bingata is a traditional Okinawan dyeing technique, said to have developed during the Ryukyu Kingdom era (around the 14th–15th century). Using hand-carved stencils, natural pigments are applied in multiple layers to produce vivid colors and delicate designs inspired by nature — flowers, birds, and ocean waves. It is a dyeing technique that deeply reflects Okinawa's unique cultural heritage.

An elegant kimono with white-based florals and tortoiseshell (kikkō) patterns spreading gracefully over a deep navy ground. Floral accents in soft pink, yellow, and orange add color, giving it a look that is both traditional and vibrant.
